Overview

The commissions system lets you define how salespeople earn on completed sales, then applies those rules automatically. Set a default commission for the team, add exceptions for specific products, product groups, or employees, and choose a percentage or a fixed amount per unit. When an order is completed, commission is calculated and stored for the assigned seller. During salary payment, the totals are added to payroll with a line-by-line breakdown. Returns reduce commission proportionally, and past payouts stay unchanged if you edit the rules later.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who earns commission on a sale?
The employee set as Seller on the order — the person who confirmed the sale — not necessarily whoever created the draft.
When is commission calculated?
When the order is completed. Commission is stored on each line item at that moment using the rules in effect then.
Can different products or employees have different rates?
Yes. Use commission exceptions to override the default for specific products, product groups, or selected employees.
What happens if a customer returns items?
Commission is reduced proportionally. Fully returned items no longer count toward payroll commission.
